So this is what I have been busying myself with, to keep me sane 'between jobs'. Pencil Cases! Pencil Cases! Pencil Cases!
I showed them to one person and straight away she ordered 11 personalised ones, hence the names! The names were the most fiddly bit actually. What do you think?
I thought I would start with smaller items before moving onto larger Nursery fixtures and fittings, like chairs, storage boxes, shelves, or even cots!!!
What do you think?
And any suggestions on where I could sell them (IF AT ALL!)? Can you recommend Etsy? In fact any help & advice you can spare would be appreciated.
What about these then ?
I am experimenting with these wooden PIXIE HEARTS, so that they can also be personalised maybe? Stay tuned for more......
I love the Pixie Design and want to do loads with it, but I had to try this too.......
Maybe sell them on St. Patrick's Day??? And they should be gold coins around the edge, rather than plain yellow shouldn't they?
So now you know - surprise!!!! I SO hope you like them, your opinions really matter to me!!! I'm already holding my breath!

They are gorgeous!!!! I've tried Folksy and had no joy but others have. Etsy is good, but rather big. I've just opened a shop on MISI. There's also Dawanda and Artfire. Think it's a case of putting some of your stuff here and there and then advertising your shops as much as possible, join forums start a flickr account, put stuff on your blog etc
ReplyDeletegood luck!!

Love them, how clever are you?
ReplyDeleteEtsy's good but then you could open a blog shop which is nice and simple, just a case of opening another blog. I've opened one, I just haven't put anything in it yet lol!
Good luck with what ever you decide to do, i'm sure you won't having any trouble selling.
((hugs))

I love them I love the little girl in the blue dress pulling the rabbit so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo clever
Your pencil cases are gorgeous. I dont know anything about selling on Etsy etc although I would imagine there is alot of competition on sites like this as everybody seems to use it so I think having a blog shop would be a good idea, with a link to it on your main blog. Ive never seen anything like your pencil cases before and Im sure there would be plenty of outlets who would stock them for you. Maybe try local gift or craft shops if there are any nearby to where you live. X
ReplyDeleteP.S Thankyou for your birthday wishes, I think my 'Geordie' family may disown me too if I move to Yorkshire. My sister married a yorkshireman and it raised a few eyebrows LOL! My nephews speak with a peculiar Geordie/Yorkshire accent X
Fleur, they're fantastic and highly original.
ReplyDeleteCan you email me through my blog as I don't want to ramble on here with suggestions.

Love those pencil cases, really cool! How about the little fella with a pipe!
ReplyDeleteThose pencil cases are fantastic and I would love to purchase a set for my lil kiddies I know!
ReplyDeleteEtsy is good for your larger audience I would imagine and a blogspot as well?
Let me know when you set up shop!

What do I think?? I think they are utterly charming and I would snap them up (not literally you understand) if I had a shop..
ReplyDeleteI think you should definitely set up an Etsy shop... it is so easy to do and you would have a lot of fun and satisfaction selling these..
Please email me if you sell wholesale.

I think those are great, and should do really well - people seem to find etsy really good, and also Folksy. But I've got no experience there, I'm afraid. The blog shop has been pretty good for me, so that would be an option as a starter. x
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteYour crafts are W*O*N*D*E*R*F*U*L!!!!!
Hope you'll have a great success with sales!
They are stunning! Well done! Sorry no idea where to sell them, I think most people seem to use Etsy.
