Milkman's Here!!!!

I love this repro sign I bought on holiday, which reminded me that I really should drink more milk, but more importantly I wanted to do this blog! I picked up this cute little milk float at a CS the other day with youngest - she adored it, oh for at least a day! I think it is handmade. Hmm, just noticed it's falling apart a bit, must mend and make do! And look what he has delivered!Unlike youngest's fickle fancies, my love for old milk bottles never wavers. Do you remember these? They look so pretty on my window sill with a few wild flowers in. I wish they still did these, but I suppose Dairy Crest would never get them back, not from me anyway, although I'd be more inclined to drink milk. Sometimes we would even get fizzy from our milkman.....This Coke one is from 1981 and commemorates The Royal Wedding (10p carboot, oh how I've missed the boots) I have to say I'm more likely to drink this than milk - bad bad bad! Great to be back guys/gals!!!! TTFN xxxxxxx

  1. Hi there

Love those bottles, I don't actually remember them but I can remember getting fizzy off the Milkman. Talking of Milkman, that float is great.
The roses on the tin are just stuck on but it's still lovely, I think the'd look great in a kitchen window.
Like you, I send an awful lot of stuff to Bloggy friends and get so much pleasure from it. I would love to take you up on your offer if it's not too much trouble. It's very kind of you, thank you very much.
    Speak soon.
    Take care
    ((hugs))

  3. Welcome back! I really can't remember such cool milkbottles - maybe they didn't do them in Devon? The milk float is fantastic. Of course, here in France, the idea of a milkman is just surreal. Here we must have fresh bread daily, not fresh milk!

  4. Yes I have a very clever husband who show me how to do these tricky little things! OK how to retrieve an award: right click on the award then 'save as a picture' in whichever category you want. Then go to your set up and choose a new 'gadget', select a 'picture' then click on your award photo to download. If you still get stuck let me know. It's all quite simple when you've done it, isn't it?

  7. I LOVE the little milk float, how cute is that? I remember milk bottles like that we have a lovely dairy farm/ice cream parlour/tea room doodah near us and they have loads of the promo milk bottles on display. Twiglet just can't get his head round the concept of a milkman :)

  11. I love the sign and I love old milk bottles too, except ours look very different than yours. Ours are plain with no label on them. It was great to see that you'd stopped by our place! I suppose those bowls are made in America. I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a few there too. If we lived closer I would teach you to crochet! Have a very nice day! Twyla
