A bit of Red for Rednesday

Hmm - this is getting harder, one week I'll end up just showing you a shot of a tomato on Rednesday! So, grab yourself a bicky..... Sit down with Big Red Ted Under your favourite lamp.... and have a flick through this lovely RED 1955 Craft Book for children.... It's never been used (yet) and has some fab projects for my little lot to do over the looming half term! Never mind the kids, I want to make some of these! Finally, my childhood piggy bank has a secret gift for some clever blogger, but who could it be???? TTFN xxxxx

  3. I adored books like that in my childhood - we had 'rainy day books' from the 30s to the 50s hanging around, and I'm not sure I actually made many of the things in them, I just loved dreamily browsing through them. So many things seemed to call for burnt cork or a hot needle which my 1970s/80s mother sure wasn't going to go for! Thanks for all those lovely red pics. What has the piggie got????

  6. What's a bicky? That book looks fabulous! Or, as we say here in Boston, "wicked awesome"! I love the lamp, too! And what would a little piggy bank be giving away except lots of money - lol!

  7. Tee hee - I'm sorry, a bicky is a biscuit - I'm not sure how many people in the UK call it that never mind the rest of the world.

The other mystery, piggy's gift? I'll ask him.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME !
