One Step forward two Steps Back

Remember those knitted squares I bought for 99p from lovely charity shop - well I decided on a making a bag and here it is! I have had SO many lovely compliments, it was worth every minute I spent on it. It's made me so happy, who would have thought!? It's lined and has a pocket and everything! The only problem I hadn't accounted for is the stretch in the strap and occasionally if it is full and I quicken my step, it can swing hard and take me out at the knees. But not so successful was my 5 minute project that took me an hour and broke my needle on my sewing machine. It doesn't even look that good either. Whilst I was doing said disaster basket case, I allowed my daughters to plant their seedlings in the garden. I hadn't accounted on the fact they would do it right in the middle of the lawn. So there was nothing for it but a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the sun. TTFN xxx

  1. Oh dear! Your green-fingered daughters remind me of my son; much be VERY specific and clear (like c-programming a computer in DOS) else something bonkers happens!!

I know the feeling about the bag: I've had the very same thing happen to my blue fluffy one I knitted! We live and learn....

The basket will look better when it's full of something interesting, it really isn't bad at all! I'd love to see nice squidgy balls of yarn in it with pretty decorated bamboo needles myself!

    Keep Blooming 'Rose' :o) X
